Courtenay Cohousing is a forming multigenerational community in the
Comox Valley, drawing members from all over BC, and beyond.

 

We’re a group of people who value fun, connection, sustainability, and
personal growth — and we’re building a community of 18 homes
within easy biking distance of downtown Courtenay.

 

We aim to co-create a vibrant, inclusive neighbourhood where people of all ages

and backgrounds can thrive in both privacy and connection.

What is cohousing?

Cohousing is a model of living that blends independent homeownership with shared resources and community life. In this project, all homeowners share ownership of a community house and participate in events that involve the whole community.

This lifestyle tends to work well for people who are:

You don’t have to be a social butterfly. Many introverts love the balance of private homes and spontaneous connections. What matters most is a desire to belong.

Yes! Our homes are part of a strata corporation. You own your lot and house, plus a share of the common property which includes a 2400 sqft common house with guest suites.

There are still some big steps between now and our homes being built. The prices on this page are our design and build teams' current best estimates. More firm pricing will come once we’ve finalized home designs and signed contracts with builders.

  • 900 sq. ft. single level (duplex) - $625,000 – $650,000
  • 1300 sq. ft. two level (duplex) with carport – $735,000 – $760,000
  • 1400 sq. ft. two level (duplex) without carport - $755,000 – $780,000
  • Single detached homes - $775,000 – $990,000 depending on size
